Duke to allow off-campus students to attend in-person graduation

DURHAM, NC—Duke is allowing all seniors, regardless of if they are currently in the surveillance testing system, to attend in-person commencement on May 2nd. In an email to all undergraduates, President Vincent Price announced the decision.

"I am pleased to announce that—given the recent public health trends and the increased availability of vaccines—we are now able to invite all remote undergraduate seniors and undergraduates who completed the requirements for their studies in the fall or winter of 2020 to return for the in-person commencement ceremony," wrote Price.

The email did not say families of graduates are now able to attend, unchanged from the March 2nd email.
