Gradey Dick pounds Duke Defense

INDIANAPOLIS, IN—In the Kansas-Duke matchup at the Champions Classic, Kansas freshman Gradey Dick dominated Duke’s defense, pounding the submissive young team into a loss.


After a sensational performance during the first quarter, Dick stayed hard in the paint through the night. Spectators report wide gaps in Duke’s defense, which Dick slid into effortlessly. Similarly, Dick showed off his natural athleticism and endurance, while Duke players could do nothing but take it. Known for his long reach, the freshman penetrated the Duke defense, scoring seven points in the final two minutes to secure a 69-64 win.


Following the game, NCAA officials denied reports of Dick handcuffing Duke players to the bench.
