DURHAM, NC—Following the success of the Shooters bus stops at Duke, the popular bar has decided to extend its services to Durham Public Schools.
Starting this fall, it will begin making stops at schools like Hillside High School, Lucas Middle School, and Eastway Elementary School. Students will simply need to show their school ID at the door, and they too will have the honor of being pushed around by sweaty, hormonal teenagers.
The bar will also partner with Duke’s Office of Durham and Regional Affairs as a part of the effort to reach out to Durham youth. Very similar to programs like ARAC and the Girls Club mentoring, this program will pair each child with a Duke upperclassmen who can buy them drinks. Because hey, children are our future!
